30-year-old bank official found dead in Jaipur | Jaipur News


JAIPUR: A 30-year-old woman working as a senior official at a bank was found dead inside her apartment in Muhana on Sunday morning with a suicide note beside her.
Muahna SHO, Lakhan Singh Khatana said that the deceased was identified as Surbhi Kumawat. “She was posted at a leading bank in the city. Her husband, Shahid Ali called us to inform us about the incident at 7.30 am,” he said.
Police also discovered a suicide letter written in English, in which Kumawat said that everyone wants to hurt her in every possible way and that everyone used her for their own benefit.
Police said that Kumawat also alleged in her suicide note that her husband also hated her and allegedly threatened to leave her every second.
“We are questioning the deceased’s husband about the incident,” Khatana said.
The city police also recorded the photos and videos of the bedroom, and also called the forensic experts to examine the scene. Police said that Kumawat married Shahid in January 2016. She had studied MBA from a leading college in Jaipur, whereas her husband currently lived at home and took care of their five-year-old daughter.
Shahid claimed that he had met Kumawat through a mutual friend about 18 years ago. He studied till class 7, and worked in a mobile business before venturing into some water plant business.
He is a native of Bas Badanpura area in Jaipur and had moved with his wife recently to their apartment in Narayan Sarovar on ISCKON road near Keshar Chauraha.
The police said that while the prime facie probe indicates the death due to suicide by hanging, a medical board has been assigned for the post-mortem for a detailed examination.
Khatana said that they are investigating the matter and interrogating the deceased’s husband about what exactly transpired.
