2 Including Kingpin In Crime Branch Net For Firing, Assault | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The crime branch of Jaipur police on Sunday arrested two persons, including the kingpin of a gang involved in opening fire and thrashing a man, leaving him severely injured following a dispute in Pratrakar Colony two months ago.
DCP (crime) Paris Deshmukh said that the police arrested Gaurav Gupta alias Titu (32), and Kailash Ahuja (31). He said that Gupta runs a “Titu gang,” and has criminal cases filed against him in Sawai Madhopur and Jaipur.
“Ahuja is also part of the Titu gang and was arrested for his involvement in assaulting a man in Muhana back in September,” he said.
The Jaipur police said that an FIR was registered in Muhana on September 8 that Gupta and his men waylaid a car near Patrakar Colony and began assaulting three men with iron rods and sticks. The police said that Gupta was accompanied by nearly eight of his aides and caught hold of one Jay Vardhan when the latter was trying to flee.
“The accused thrashed Vardhan so much that he sustained severe injuries. The accused then dispersed from the secne after the attack,” said an official. Police said that Vardhan was transported to the hospital where he underwent treatment for multiple injuries around his body. The police later discovered that the accused had also fired shots in the air before fleeing.
After examining the secne, the Jaipur police filed an FIR under IPC Section 307 (attempt to murder) 341 (wrongful restraint), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), and arms act. The Jaipur police said that primary investigation has revealed that Gupta had a bitter dispute with the victim. The Jaipur police said that several members of the Titu gang have already been held.
